Owner Bio - Bill Friend

Friend Capital Funding (FCF) was started by Bill Friend in March of 2003. Bill shifted his career in 1995 and started in the finance industry with American International Group (AIG). In 1999, Bill was offered a VP position with Standard Funding and helped them grow from a 100 million company to a 300 million company and eventually acquired by the Atlantic Bank of New York. Bill started Friend Premium Finance in 2002 which he eventually renamed to Premium Finance Associates (PFA) in October 2004.

Premium Finance Associates (PFA) offers installments to companies and individuals for their annual premiums instead of the heavy up front cash burden. Bill's vision started by seeing the cash flow need by many commercial and personal insured's. By cultivating financial relationships, he became a cash flow broker by offering creative cash flow solutions in asset based lending techniques. We can secure the assets of the company or individual such as property, receivables, inventory, equipment & machinery as well as personal assets to get the cash they need when conventional sources such as banks decline them. Without our help, many of these companies would cease to exist.

Friend Capital Funding provides funding through private partnerships but primarily acts as a brokerage. "We are in the process of raising our own capital" to fund deals that are highly unusual where competition is virtually non existent. Traditional lending can take up to several months. We are not heavily regulated as many traditional lending sources are. Time can sometimes kill a deal and that is where we can be valuable in securing funds for companies in 30 days or less. We are a conduit for new companies with receivables, companies in growth mode, or even companies in temporary financial trouble due to the economy. We offer a 6-30 month financial window and once they regain their financial health, we refer them back to traditional lending where the cost of funds is more reasonable.

Bill is a graduate of St. Ignatius high School and Cleveland State University where he earned his BA in Communications and specialization in Marketing, 1985.
